...and Tuesday, and Wednesday, and Thursday, etc. Basically, all day, every day, we could go for Mozy’s— home of Leucadia's low-key paradise and easily North County’s best breakfast burrito.
Situated on the corner (why is it that all good restaurants are situated on a corner?) of highway 101, Mozy Cafe offers Caribbean-ish/ Mexican-ish/ healthy-ish style of heart-warming and belly-filling food paired with one of the friendliest and wittiest wait staff. I’ve been made fun of quite a few times with random order requests, all of which were well deserved and spot on. And if Conner’s there, nothing but surf and rock climbing before we even get to the good stuff. Our Order.

It’s perfect. Egg, black beans, avocado and plantain all glued together with melted jack cheese in a whole wheat tortilla. They are hefty, so I usually eat half, and Conner, one-and-a-half. Top it with a combined concoction of their homemade chipotle salsa and tapatillo and you’ll be in a good mood for the remainder of the day.
Bowl of Happiness
When you’re just craving something filling and healthy, go for the Bowl-o-Happiness. Black beans, brown rice, pesto hummus, homemade tahini dressing and packed with what I’m sure is every fresh veggie they have in the kitchen— cucumber, red cabbage, sprouts, carrots, red onion, tomatoes, etc. You’ll get your daily dose-o antioxidants, vitamins and minerals in one sitting with this bowl.
Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie
I don’t even know how to explain this lil' ball of a nosh but it’s delicious. It sits on a pedestal (as it should) almost hidden (as it shouldn't) next to the register. Really should be a mandatory closer with any meal. It’s that good.
