Pretty sure this place is the reason we say Good Morning!
Quintessentially located on the corner of a tree-lined neighborhood complete with old, victorian-style homes resides the sweet smell of Sweedeedee… and a line of ravenous, yet patient patrons. It’s the type of place you want to frequent daily either solo for a cup of coffee, slice of pie and New York Times crossword puzzle or gathered with friends for a memorable meal.
Named after a love song by Michael Hurley from the 1971 Arm Chair boogie, this cozy little café’s charming cottage-style interior offers simple, homestyle breakfast, lunch and insta-worthy baked goods infused with honey—Honey from the owner’s own hives in her backyard. Naturally.
Order up front, grab your mug and sip on Extracto coffee as Jim Croce serenades (on vinyl of course) to pass the time before your feast. Did I mention your coffee is served in eclectic arrangement of hand-made pottery from local ceramist, all of which is conveniently available for purchase? Thinkers.
It was literally all I could do to not snag a set for our shelves. Conner saw it in my eyes and immediately went to divert mode. Blast. It’s a good thing he’s around though or I would be broke and full of homemade housewares for an abode I didn’t have. Nevertheless, DINA NO and Alexandria M Cummings create some pret-ty impressive pottery.
